What I’ve observed over and over again is that when people play with AI, they do the equivalent of Google Searches and go off on a trail from there to an unpredictable place.
Agreed. The next test will be to see how many of those instructions are correct. (My level of trust for this is perhaps “medium.” Up from “low” a year ago.) Of course, this is all information I can look up. But the prompt itself did a good job of organizing and of asking clarifying questions.
NOTE: I got some feedback on another forum that "as a new user, long prompts seem overwhelming" ... Here's the deal. First, attach your research file. This could be a file like mine. It could be your research log. Whatever. Next, go to the chat window and type "The attached file contains information to be used in the following prompt: " then paste the prompt immediately following that. The fact that it is long is no different than if it were short. You are just pasting. Then press the button to send this prompt to ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude.
